Liberty University alerts community after reports of sexual assaults

Liberty University has informed its community about two reported cases of rape, aggravated assault, and fondling that occurred in November. In the first incident, a male student allegedly “digitally penetrated” a victim in the Runk and Pratt Garage. The second incident involved a victim who was drugged, lost consciousness, and was sexually touched without consent. The university has identified the suspect and removed him from campus to protect the community. Liberty University is encouraging anyone with information or who has experienced similar incidents to reach out to the Office of Equity and Compliance or the Liberty University Police Department (LUPD).
