Liberty U provides 500 sexual assault victim kits to local community

Students and staff of Liberty University assembled 500 sexual assault kits that will be distributed to victims in the Lynchburg, Virginia, community.

LU Serve, the university department responsible for local, national, and international ministry, arranged the event on Thursday, according to the department’s executive director, Lew Weider.

The kits included a backpack filled with underwear, sweat pants, a shirt, a stress ball, writing material, and a teddy bear. Each teddy bear has a backpack filled with dissolvable paper that the victims can write their feelings of anger on and then throw it into water to watch it dissolve.
