A cooking fire caused the temporary evacuation of a men\u2019s dorm on Liberty University\u2019s Campus Monday night.<\/p>\n

No one was hurt, said Battalion Chief Greg Wormser of the Lynchburg Fire Department. The fire caused little damage to the building from the smoke and use of the fire extinguisher.<\/p>\n

The fire was reported at 9:31 p.m. Liberty Senior Cody Burke said the fire started after his roommates attempted to deep fry Oreos and Kit-Kats on their dorm room stove.<\/p>\n

Students were allowed back into the building at around 10:52 pm, after about an hour standing outside in the parking lot, some in bare feet.<\/p>\n
