{"id":6148,"date":"2023-08-20T07:23:11","date_gmt":"2023-08-20T11:23:11","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.libertystudentnews.com\/?p=6148"},"modified":"2023-08-20T07:23:11","modified_gmt":"2023-08-20T11:23:11","slug":"petition-going-around-about-dancing-at-liberty-university","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.libertystudentnews.com\/?p=6148","title":{"rendered":"Petition going around about dancing at Liberty University"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>petition is circulating around the Lynchburg community regarding an alleged change to dancing rules at Liberty University.<\/p>\n<p>This petition, called &#8220;Allow Dancing at LU!!,&#8221; claims the Liberty Board of Trustees put an &#8220;absolute stop to dancing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>According to the petition:<\/p>\n<p>This year, the Liberty University Board of Trustees has decided to put an absolute stop to dancing, and instructed Res Life to enforce a strict no dancing policy. This action prevents halls from putting on hall formals, and instructs all RAs to put a stop to dancing when they see it.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>A spokesperson with LU said that &#8220;there are no new rules or changes regarding dance at Liberty.
