Gen (Ret.) Dondi E. Costin, Ph.D. to be the president of the university, and Pastor Jonathan Falwell to be the chancellor.<\/p>\n<p>Costin succeeds Jerry Falwell, Jr., who resigned from the university in 2021 after a series of scandals. It&rsquo;s been three years since Falwell Jr. took an indefinite leave of absence and they had an interim president in Jerry Prevo.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Liberty University\u2019s Board of Trustees unanimously appoints Maj.
