Junior Brent Robertson filed his petition to run for City Council as an Independent on March 1, setting his career into politics early. <\/p>\n

The bloke is a politics and policy major, is originally from Ohio, but currently resides in Wyndhurst and has plans to stay in Lynchburg after graduating.<\/p>\n

There are many young people like him from around the country who are running for office.<\/p>\n

But this race is interesting, because Liberty has been getting involved in Lynchburg politics by providing transportation for students to vote in City Elections and dealing with poll locations with the City.<\/p>\n

Robertson has said that he is not running as a LU student, but as a Lynchburg resident.<\/p>\n

There’s already been a LU alum who’s been sitting in the Council, will there be one more? <\/p>\n
