Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, S.D., announced it was recently chosen to design, manufacture and install a new custom light emitting diode (LED) video football display and scoreboard in Williams Stadium at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Va.<\/p>\n

At 20 feet high and 36 feet wide, the new display will be nearly three times the square footage of the leased video board that has been a fixture at Williams Stadium the past two seasons.<\/p>\n

With backlit channel letters spelling Liberty University topping the display and an LED digit scoreboard below, the total size will be 24 feet tall and 88 feet wide. The whole display will be located on top of four Jeffersonian pillars behind the north end zone and will be installed in time for the 2009 season.<\/p>\n
