Liberty University and a senior living community plan to repair the dam at Ivy Lake in Forest, according to the university.<\/p>\n

After finishing the repairs, Runk & Pratt, the senior living community, will own the lake with approval by the Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation. Liberty University currently owns the lake.<\/p>\n

Liberty was given the lake as a gift from a developer back in 2008. A year later, Liberty was told it would have to make repairs to the dam’s spillway.<\/p>\n
