A Lynchburg College official says a Liberty University professor collapsed and later died after being hit by a baseball at one of the college’s athletic fields.<\/p>\n
Lynchburg College vice president John Eccles sent an e-mail with details about the incident.<\/p>\n
Eccles said Jeff Taylor Sr. was hit in the lower jaw or neck by a line drive while pitching to a Lynchburg College baseball player, who wasn’t identified.<\/p>\n
Five players, including Taylor’s son, were at the field at the time of accident.<\/p>\n
The 44-year-old Taylor was an assistant professor of health sciences and kinesiology at Liberty.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
