Liberty University’s School of Aeronautics has gotten approval from the FAA to reduce the number of hours graduates need to fly.<\/p>\n

Now with this change qualified graduates need only a 1,000 flight hours instead of 1,500. Once they complete their hours they can be hired as a first officer with a commercial airline.<\/p>\n

Liberty is only the seventh university in the country to receive this authorization. The dean of the School of Aeronautics says this is significant because it allows graduates pursuing an airline pilot career to get a job much quicker.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
