LU ISSUE PARKING FEES FOR EMPLOYEES!

If you work at LU, you’re going to have to pay to park there. Rates go from $50 to $150 a semester. This is a first time the university imposes a parking fee to employees. Students do pay for parking fees already.

Here’s what LU said:

a. Zone 1 (Red permit color): Parking areas within an 10 minute walking distance to the DeMoss Commons.  Annual cost is $300 for commuter students and $150 for employees.
b. Zone 2 (Purple permit color): Parking areas within 20 minute walking distance to DeMoss Commons.  Annual cost is $200 for commuter students and $50 for employees.  Bus service to DeMoss Commons available from the Tilley Center bus stop.
c. Reserved (Dark Blue permit color): Parking areas reserved for groups/departments specific to certain buildings that are not open to general parking.  Annual cost is $300 for students and $150 for employees.  Faculty parking areas will be assessed a $50 annual fee for faculty.
d. Alternative (Turquoise permit color): On and off campus lower-priority parking areas that utilize the transportation system. Cost is $0 for commuters and employees (see Low Cost Options Parking and Transportation options below). These includes near campus areas not adjacent to the Liberty Campus such as the Airport Campus, Mayflower Maintenance Facility, and LU Residential Annex.
