Liberty University School of Law Hits 100 Percent Bar Passage Rate in Virginia

Liberty University School of Law students achieved a 100 percent pass rate on the Virginia Bar Examination in February 2011.

The School of Law was founded in 2004 and received full accreditation approval by the American Bar Association Council of the Section of Legal Education and Admissions to the Bar — which is recognized as the accrediting agency of law schools by the U.S. Department of Education — in August 2010.

Liberty is the only Virginia school to achieve the 100 percent rate in the state this year. Washington & Lee was at 90 percent; George Mason, 84.8 percent; University of Virginia, 75 percent; and the College of William & Mary, 73.3 percent.

Liberty School of Law had 4 students take the February bar. This was the second attempt for each student as each did not receive a passing grade on the July bar and worked hard to pass the second time.
