Paul Harris pleaded not guilty Tuesday in Roanoke County circuit court to charges of aggravated involuntary manslaughter, DUI maiming, and misdemeanor DUI.
Harris is accused of drunk driving, and then causing an accident last August which killed Liberty University professor Jill Jones, and her 16-year-old son Nico.
The crash happened at the corner of Challenger and Cloverdale roads in the Bonsack area. That’s better known as the intersection of Route 460 and Alternate Route 220, where the Bonsack Walmart is located.
The trial will resume Wednesday morning at 9:00 a.m.
