Jerry Falwell Jr. returns to Liberty University

Jerry Falwell Jr., former president of Liberty University, visited the campus for the first time since reaching a settlement with the university over disputes related to his 2020 resignation. He and his wife Becki attended a football game at Liberty University in Lynchburg, Virginia, where they were welcomed by attendees. Falwell had been banned from the campus following allegations of extramarital misconduct involving his wife and a younger man, but the ban was lifted last month. Falwell resigned in 2020 amid the scandal and later sued the university, claiming it damaged his reputation. In July 2024, both parties reached a settlement, resolving all disputes and acknowledging mutual mistakes. The agreement also included terms for Falwell’s retirement and the use of his father’s name and likeness.
