The Liberty Flames clinched their first perfect regular season with Saturday’s 48-24 win at UTEP.
Now, the Flames will enter their first Conference USA championship game with their highest ranking of the season.
Coach Jamey Chadwell’s Flames moved up two spots to #20 in the latest AP Top 25 poll, their first time in the Top 20 this season. The ranking is just three spots shy of Liberty’s highest ranking ever, with the Flames coming in 17th in the final AP poll in the 2020 season, when Liberty defeated Chadwell’s Coastal Carolina team in the Cure Bowl.
