The Liberty University football team played host to Gardner-Webb in Lynchburg. The Flames able to get on the board first due to a 7-yard pass from quarterback Johnathan Bennett to receiver Jerome Jackson for the touchdown. Liberty was able to find the end-zone again before half. The Flames were able to defeat Gardner-Webb 21-20, to extend their win streak to 4 games.
With the win Liberty secures bowl eligibility. Next Saturday the Flames host BYU at Williams Stadium at 3:30 p.m. in Lynchburg.
