A Liberty University Police report says a student reported that a professor “began hugging her in an inappropriate manner” and “touched her butt and breast. ” That professor, William Atwell, is charged with sexual battery and abduction. Online records show Atwell, who was listed on Liberty University’s website as an associate professor of American Sign Language, was charged in Lynchburg General District Court on Nov. 20, 2021.
