Jerry Jr just announced during Convocation that Elmer Towns is replacing Dan Mitchell, and will be the dean instead of the interim dean. Towns is the Co-founder of LU and still be the Dean of the School of Religion. He had served as dean of the seminary before from 1979 to 1992.Seminary dean was once hold by Ergun Caner.
Just wonder how much “theological leverage” Towns will be giving to the faculty now?
