Construction at River Ridge Mall is still on track and set to be finished by the fall.
Crews are working on a new entrance through the mall, along with Dick’s Sporting Goods. The new store will be 50 percent larger than Dick’s current location on Wards Road. The River Ridge store will be 45,000 square feet big, which the mall says will allow them to carry more merchandise.
In November, Craig Pettitt, the Vice President of Retail Real Estate for Liberty University, said they want the River Ridge Mall to be a town center and not just a mall, incorporating outdoor spaces and lots of entertainment.
