Independent school Liberty will be making its first-ever bowl appearance when it faces Georgia Southern in the Cure Bowl on Dec. 21 in Orlando. For Georgia Southern (7-5) this will mark a second consecutive trip to a bowl game.

The Cure Bowl is an annual American college football bowl game played in December of each year in Orlando, Florida, currently at Exploria Stadium. The Cure Bowl is so named to promote awareness and research of breast cancer, with proceeds going to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
