Lawsuit filed against Liberty University alleges employee fired because of his disability

A lawsuit filed last week claims Liberty University wrongfully terminated an employee on the basis of his autism.

The court document, filed February 15, 2019, states that James Jones, an associate professor of computer science, was terminated by the university about a year and a half after he disclosed his disability to university administration.

Jones was employed at Liberty University from August 2009 to March 2017 according to the filed court document. Jones was diagnosed with autism in 2015, the filing states, and informed the university in the summer of 2015 about his disability.
