Scott Ray to face TRIAL Nov. 9

Scott Ray was arrested on Tuesday and released on a $2,500 secured bond. Ray was doing the same
trouble the past year while working at LU. He hasn’t work at LU since Sept. 4th.

“Scott Alan Ray of Lynchburg was released on a $2,500 secured bond, said Campbell County Deputy Commonwealth’s Attorney Paul McAndrews. He had been considered a fugitive prior to his arrest, according to court records.
Ray asked for a court-appointed attorney in a hearing Wednesday morning in Campbell County Circuit Court, saying his last day of work as director of convocations at the university was Sept. 4 and that he no income.
Judge John Cook appointed Lynchburg lawyer Grady Donaldson to represent him.

The warrant states the man was caught on video taking two bottles of painkillers before leaving.

He was indicted on Monday on four counts of statutory burglary between November 2008 and Sept. 4. He was also indicted on one count of possession of a schedule I or II drug.
Ray’s trial is set to be scheduled on Nov. 9.”
