Liberty University named former Marquette and Liberty Assistant Dale Layer as the new men’s basketball head coach.
Layer coached under the man he succeeds, Ritchie McKay, in 2007-2008. McKay left Liberty to take a job as an assistant coach with UVA.
This past season, Layer was an assistant at Marquette University, which is in the Big East.
