The Liberty University community is mourning the death of a 20-year-old senior.
School officials say Jonathan Veldhuyzen died in a hiking accident on Sunday, May 8. The incident happened on the Fallingwater Cascades National Scenic Trail along the Blue Ridge Parkway, just below the Peaks of Otter.
