Liberty University has merged its undergraduate School of Religion and its Baptist Theological Seminary to create a divinity school.
President Jerry Falwell says the marriage will make the Liberty University School of Divinity the nation’s largest. Some 20,000 students were enrolled in the once-separate programs in the 2013-14 academic year.
