Class of 08;, Annie Celotto, whose participation in Americans for Prosperity dates back several years when she was a student at Liberty University, has been named Virginia AFP director.
The Lancaster, Pa. native has worked as a legislative assistant for Del. Ben Cline and on a campaign for 6th District Rep. Bob Goodlatte. She became a full-time AFP staff member nearly two years ago.
The priority for Virginia AFP now is defeating a possible expansion of Virginia’s Medicaid program. The expansion was left to states after the Supreme Court decision on the Affordable Care Act in 2012. A state Medicaid reform commission chaired by Sen. Emmett Hanger and co-chaired by Del. Steve Landes has been studying the federal/state health care program.
