Harrisonburg Police are investigating a shooting that happened around 3 a.m. Sunday on Bradley Drive of the Hunters Ridge Apartments and Townhomes off Port Republic Road.
Liberty University student, Reginald “Shay” Nicholson was shot in the head in the gravel lot in front of a townhome.
The suspect was described as an approximately 5-foot-6, dark-skinned black male, between the ages of 15 and 17. There was also a second suspect as an approximately 5-foot-9, white male with short hair. Police have not confirmed these descriptions at this time. A second LU student, Laura Woods, was also shot at too and heard a total of three shots and said the third shot hit Nicholson.
Nicholson has been transported to the University of Virginia Medical Center with life threatening injuries.
