The Nelson County Sheriff’s Office has identified the Liberty University student who fell to her death Monday afternoon at Crabtree Falls. The victim was 18-year-old Faith Helbig of New Jersey. Helbig was a freshman at Liberty. The victim had joined five other Liberty students for a trip to Nelson County. The accident happened shortly before 6 p.m. Monday. The Nelson Sheriff’s Office says the Liberty students went to an area of Crabtree Falls that’s off-limits to visitors. Crabtree Falls is a popular site for picture taking.
