Asa Chapman INDICTED

Former Liberty University football defensive standout Asa Chapman was indicted in Lynchburg Tuesday on charges of driving on a suspended or revoked license, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine.

Chapman, who started the football season with modest prospects of being drafted into the NFL, was pulled over in August for playing his stereo too loudly. He was arrested on charges of driving on a suspended license, the drug charges and on an outstanding bench warrant for contempt after he failed to show up for a November 2010 court date on an earlier charge of driving on a suspended driver’s license.
