Religious freedom group takes aim at Liberty University over military court hearing

The Military Religious Freedom Foundation, based in New Mexico, is upset because Liberty University hosted an Air Force Court of Criminal Appeals at it’s law school. The group’s president, Michael Weinstein, wrote a letter U.S. Secretary of Defense Mark Esper Monday; it claims this action shows bias in the federal government towards Christianity, instead of any other religion or non-religion.

Liberty University’s Vines Center hosts last few games before moving to new arena

Liberty University’s Vines Center will soon no longer be the home for sports games.

The last regular-season basketball game will be played at the Vines Center on Monday night at 7:00 p.m.

Liberty University is building a new arena that will house sporting events.

Other events like convocation will still be held at the Vines Center.

Former football coach Lou Holtz speaks at Liberty University

Former head football coach Lou Holtz spoke during Liberty University’s convocation on Wednesday.

He said he is the only college football coach to lead six different programs to bowl games but he said that the key to happiness is taking time to enjoy it.

“Having problems and having difficulties is apart of life. but the attitude we have should be to enjoy life. Enjoy life, enjoy the opportunity. Too many times we worry about what things can go wrong, just enjoy life,” said Holtz.
