TENNIS: Liberty University brings Beck Pennington as an assistant coach

Derek Schwandt, men’s tennis head coach at Liberty University, announced that Beck Pennington will join the Flames as an assistant coach. Pennington had a great career as a player at the University of Kentucky, advancing to the last 16 in 2013 and 2014 in the NCAA Team Tournament.

He was ranked inside the Top 40 in the singles and Top 25 in the doubles in the ITA rankings. For 4 seasons, between 2014-17, Beck served as the team captain, earning a two-time second-team All-SEC selection, and he won 17 matches in singles this spring, in his final chapter as a Wildcat.
