Fans of the Liberty University Flames could soon be rooting for a football team in the top level of American college football.
Liberty’s president Jerry Falwell Junior says the school may enter the Division One Football Bowl Subdivision in a matter of “months.”
Falwell made the comment to city officals and other college presidents at a “town and gown” meeting today in Lynchburg.
Liberty currently competes in the Football Championship Subdivision.
