You’ll soon see the project taking shape on Candler’s Mountain, just west of the L-U monogram.

A show on the Discovery Channel will be documenting the Snowflex project as it goes up.

The new ski slope will be open year round when construction wraps up in February 2009.

Liberty University Police is looking to identify a destructive prankster caught on surveillance video. You can see a dark car pull up near the fountain, while a man gets out, and pours liquid soap into the new fountain in front of DeMoss Learning Center. The problem — those suds permanently stained the dark marble. It has cost several hundred dollars to clean it up. In a close-up picture from the video you can see him on the left. Police believe it is a student. The video shows the car coming in from a resident hall, headed right back in that direction of resident halls and could be somebody on campus that came down and went back to their dorm. The suspect is facing charges of vandalism and destruction of property.
