LU offering free textbooks to online undergraduate students

Liberty University has announced that they are now offering free textbooks for their undergraduate online students. They said that the move will affect more than 700 courses and would save students and average of $450 per year. The school has partnered with book companies McGraw-Hill, Cengage, VitalSource and LifeWay to make it possible. Source:

Forest Park graduate Monica Wright joins Liberty University’s women’s basketball coaching staff

Liberty University has hired Forest Park High School graduate Monica Wright as an assistant women’s basketball coach. Wright spent the 2017-18 season as the director of student-athlete development for the Incarnate Word women’s basketball team. Wright replaces Erin Batth, who was recently hired as an assistant coach at NC State. Source:

Liberty’s DeMorat finishes tied for 56th in U.S. Open

Mickey DeMorat shot three-over par 73 Sunday in the final round of the U.S. Open at Shinnecock Hills Golf Club in Southampton, New York. Lynchburg Planning Commission recommends approval for new Liberty University arena

The Lynchburg Planning Commission unanimously recommended approval for the 150,000-square-foot facility. The new arena will seat up to 4,500 people in bleachers and club seating, and be built adjacent to the Vines Center. Source:
